Capcom, TALK TO ME... What makes this worth £30?
Is this an iOS port?

I love the series, but what TLC has this PC release been given?

A pretty valid argument actually, Video games DO lose value over time (unless they are rare). While it's true this is cheaper than the games were originally, there is a good point that the games are pretty old (the original version of the original game is over 17 years old now, and the international release over 13.
The big fact is -- the games made all their expected money a long time ago. Anything now is just gravy on the top.

Plus I do think a lot of the annoyence stems from the fact they are re-releasing the original trilogy AGAIN (with no sign of the others,
For reference, just the international ones have been on DS, Wii, Mobile and 3DS before now. This is the FIFTH release of these games (SEVENTH counting J-only ones), yet AAI got only a mobile port and AAI2 remains officially untranslated.

Of course the publisher is free to price things at what they want, and people are free to accept it or not. But I guarentee this board would be veru different had the price been $20 and not $30. I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about the price of, for instance, Yakuza 0 which is far more recent and only had one previous release.
Now this is an example of how to argue properly, BloodySin.
No ad hominem attacks, just constructive reasonable argument of why you disagree with someone.

Your best "argument" is whataboutism?
This is kinda off-topic, but I just wanted to say that it is nice to see another Deadly Premonition fan in the wild! We are truly a rare bunch.

I bet they didn't make up price from a thin air. They calculated that people will buy it, and people will buy it. That's all there's to it.

My arguments are too valuable to be wasted with rabble. I had already made them, Melodia simply expanded on it, which really shouldn't be necessary. The moment it becomes necessary to mince-meat something obvious, it's not worth it - just like a joke is not funny if you have to explain it, something that just requires a very modest level of common sense, such as "games lose value over years and releasing the same thing again is objectively worth less," only requires detailed explanations either by people who just refuse to understand it or are unable to, none of which is worthwhile.

Played it back in a PS3, and then again on PC. The game is a masterpiece of bizarre - and cost a lot less when released on PC, despite not being little more than a lawyer visual novel.

these games were originally $44.99 each when they first came out . so people complaining are dumb. its like hmm $134.97 or 29.99 its a big think. literally 78% cheaper than the original releases so they already did get cheaper with age;LMAO all dumb. just this in all gamers cant do math and want everything to be $5 cause thats all they get in allowance

So.. release of 3 older games, with redone, upscaled graphics, that had all programing done, probably, from ground one, is priced lower than even 1 of these games?

The horror.

Also, I'm pretty sure this trilogy is aimed at people that don't own the original games. Y'know, finally tapping into that PC market?
I mean, if you already have it, why buy it again? Especially, if you don't consider them worth it?

No, they weren't, as others have already pointed out. They are almost two decades old in their original release too as Melodia pointed out. They were also brand new at the time. They also were physical cards, not digital downloads. Games lose value over time, don't earn it (even more so with games you can find emulated).

Cute projecting, but I own over seven times the amount of games you do, and that's on Steam alone. Paying for game isn't an issue by any measure. But when you work to make that money used to pay for games you become quite more critical of the real value of things. Some day you'll get there and perhaps you'll understand there's a world out there beyond your allowance.

Sure.
This conviniece here is 30$.
Redblaze27 Mar 2, 2019 @ 3:47pm
And (at least in USD) I fail to see a problem with the cost being $30.
Luna ~ Mar 2, 2019 @ 3:49pm
Uh yeah they were, 39.99 & 44.99 were standard DS game prices, even PW was 44.99 price.

are you ok? Can you not do math?
Also Physical/digital doesnt matter both are generally still charged the exact same.
Also on top of that getting a Used copy of even just the first game now days is 20$ or new at like 30$ LUL.

1) You guys need to stop counting other people money - it's rude. They want to make more money out of it - it's their game, their money and their business.

2) The games that loose value are usually the ones strongly dependent on current technology. Technology changes - games become less attractive. However - for Ace Attorney that's simply not true. I would have no problem with paying full price for Ace Attorney Investigations 2 or some old jRPG if they got translated.

3) Nintendo in not really popular in many parts of the world (In many parts of Europe Nintendo presence is pretty much non-existent), so it's hardly a re-relase for these markets (I'm not counting iOS, since it's also not that popular in those markets). Capcom is hardly the first japanese developer that realized recently that there are millions of potential new customers available on Steam, so I don't really see what the problem is.
