Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy

Ver estadísticas:
A newbie question
Which games of the aa series do you get from this trilogy? I understand there are 6 games at all...

Also is this game similar to Danganronpa?

there's a pretty damn good video comparing the two series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL6de7Ampis

can't remember if there's spoilers so i'd recommend listening to it rather than watching it.

I personally found the murder mysteries themselves more intricate and interesting in ace attorney, and it's also a lot more about proving how someone commited a murder rather than figuring out who did it, whereas danganronpa literally describes itself as a whodunnit (the answer to the "who" is usually really obvious in AA, barring a few cases).

I agree with Ya Boi Sheep. Ace Attorney is more like Columbo (a "howcatchem") than a whodunnit, but it's still a mystery, and that aspect of it is extremely well-done, though two of the cases in the second game drag.
I just started playing the first game...
are there REALLY NO checkpoints?
Not only that, i am at the first trial and I can't go back to other segment because I got it wrong from asking the client to lie... which was wrong...

I really can't go back to that ? DO I REALLY HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE START?
If it's true that's just retarded on many levels even for a game made more than a decade ago...

In the portable versions the Save+Quit option made a permanent checkpoint, so that should be possible in this version too.

Yeah I just noticed, it still dumb IMO.

but I can't beat the first stupid trial, I clicked all evidence and tried everything I might as well use youtube. Unless it's a bug or something..
Evidence that should've seen logical and work for some dumb reason doesn't satisfie the judge...
meh already hating it lol
OK I think the game glitched on me.... well done capcom.
It was easy from the start but the retarded game won't acknowledge my answer and says its wrong, even checked youtube and I was right... WTF
Ace Attorney is a LOT lighter in tone than Danganronpa. It won't ever get quite as dark and unsettling.
OHH i see how that works now and i feel dumb...
i have to use the evidence on the specific line! I thought I just select them.
Welp NVM LOL

In spoiler tags, what were you trying to do? You have to press/present evidence on the correct line of dialog during cross examination if that helps.

Edit: NM, you clearly just reached that same conclusion.

Yeah. LOL, I thought I was having a one of a kind bug.
Can I ask you 1 more question though?
Is there gonna be voiced dialogue later in the game? Or the other 2 sequels? I find silent dialogue to be underwhelming..
thelvin 10 ABR 2019 a las 17:49
Nah, no voice. Later games contain a few voiced videos, but that's it. And I wouldn't bet on their re-release on PC

First three.
After that you need to play Appollo justice, Miles Edgeworth 1-2 and only than you jump for 3 more 3ds games.

But In all honesty series kinda ends after initial Trilogy. After that they kinda rebooted the series for young children.
2 games about Miles are gold. They are better in tone and gameplay departments.

Ace Attorney is like a PG Danganronpa (well, Danganronpa came later, so maybe Danganronpa is an R-rated Ace Attorney). There's a slightly more serious tone (not very serious, but none of the 4th wall breaking, references, or sex jokes of Danganronpa), and there's not really the thriller aspect since you're just an attorney investigating cases that you're mostly detatched from. Ace Attorney is to murder what Advance Wars is to war.
