Report a translation problem
For the second investigation game you need:
-The fan made translation patch (started playing it a few days ago, it's very well made and I even forget it's fan made, even the sprites and evidence is in english).
-You can find a rom already translated, even though the people who made the translation asked that a already patched rom isn't uploaded.
Haven't played investigations 2 yet, but playing those first 2 out of order shouldn't ruin anything, though investigations is a nicer return to form after Apollo Justice so I do recommend playing in release order if possible.
Edit * I forgot one case does reference a character that is in both games (not exclusive to Apollo Justice) and some of the jokes and references do play on your knowledge from that character in the future.
I like playing as Miles (When I first saw main game I tought he is main character in series, because he looked cooler) and those games are not such boring during investigation moments and you don't need long wait till debates moments. I prefer more to move freely on locations from third person view, than from first one.
I think it's better to play them after Trilogy, since there is some little references or reapering characters. but no spoilers.
The Edgeworth games at most reference a fictional country brought up in Ace Attorney 4, but knowing of it has no bearing on anything.
