Do you have enough stamina?

As far as I try, you need to keep running for some distance (about 4~6 blocks) before you can do Dash Attack. (Need ~3 stamina I guess?) Sometime it can be done without that much distance. This make position and dealing with worm much harder when you keep running during fight ....... I want to respec it ; w ;

Yes, you must build a small momentum by running a bit along a constant direction. While running, pressing the tool button will do the dash attack.

ok i will try that, but i think i already did, just not in a straight line, do you have to run in a straight line for it to work?

ok i tried it now and it works if you run in one direction, but if you change it the momentum goes back to zero, its ok if you get used to it, but a info window after learning the perk explaining how to do it would be appreciated, and would prevent confusion.

or alternatively a visual/accustic cue for the build up momentum could also work and solve this small issue in a smart way

I am not sure what the issue exactly with this move is.

Run a bit in a direction.

While running tap the Use Tool button.

I am not sure why such a rudimentary sequence of buttons requires a tutorial.

ok after some further testing, this skill is only really usable in horizontal directions, since vertical movement while horizontally moving will not alter the direction, but vice versa it will (at least on keyboard)

So this perk is very very bad in a vertical fight situation, but ok at best in a horizontal fight situation, it does the same amount of damage as a charged attack (from what i can tell) and hitting it is super hard and unreliable against fast moving enemies (like bats)

So basically i regret taking this perk since it didnt up my combat, it even hinders me at times when i try to run around in the mine going from wall to wall to mine, and accidentally performing a dash attack instead of mining the wall, wasting some energy.

So i am forced now to stay put for a sec after running around to not accidentally trigger a dash attack. kind of loses me some time getting through the mines.

TL;DR: Don't learn this perk guys (same for gatherer btw since there is nothing worth foraging except 5 herbs in spring and "gatherer" doesnt work in the mines... the reason i learned it... doesnt work...)

Yes you are right, maybe i am just to dumb to understand how it was supposed to work and others wont have this issue, but since there already is help windows, adding another one wouldnt be so hard?

For me at least it wasnt obvious and thats why i started this thread in the first place.

Thank you for being so active into developing this game btw, keep at it, you rock! :)

Bro it's not about being dumb! For all I know you're a Nuclear Physicist!

It's just that I thought the perk's description was enough for people to figure it out. If other people too say it doesn't then I will provide a better in-game explanation :)
