Forest Maze Bug...path of no return.

OK, unfortunately, due to this game not allowing steam controls to take screen shots, I will try my best to expalin this. There was a section in the Forest of Magic where I hit the boss sooner than I wanted so i back tracked and continued following the arrows that appear when vines are slashed. However, in one area, I went right and up to this area with a cliff and four weird blue circles. I also found the red crystal in this area.There was nothing to do here so I went back down and tried to go left and I got stuck. It wouldn't let me go back and there was nothing blocking the way,.

I am sorry I cannot offer any more explaination. screenshots don't work and I cannot post any proof of this. If the deveopler knows where I am speaking of, please take note. again, the area I got stuck was south of the area where you find the red crystal. I could not go back to the left.
