As someone whose played it. Its short enough that 5 is a reasonable price, but the game's length depends on how difficult it is for you.

You die in one hit and have three lives. You have to beat 5 bosses and bring their crystals to the center of the map.
You gain your lives back whenever you beat a boss or deliver a crystal, however your ammo is limited and the enemies gain the movement abilities of the bosses you have killed so far.

By the end your simple jumping scorpion can climb and hang from walls, spit projectiles, have a frontward facing shield, rocket themselves towards you and all the flying enemies will fly much faster.
You lose all three lives, you start it all over again.

The game's atmosphere is a minimalistic horror, with each area of the map having it's own enviromental problem (Tall grass, dark as hell, sonicequse water levels etc)
