Dialogue Glitch

I just loaded this wonderful game up today, and I noticed that there is a sound glitch where the characters are speaking and their sentences get clipped before they finish. I played this game when it was originally released on CD, and never had this issue. Does anyone have a solution they would recommend?

This game was designed for one core cpus with much lower clock speed. Only suggestion would be to use dxwnd and configure this to run on one single core. This option should fix the problem.

This issue is caused by using a multi-core processor.
To fix it, you need to make it only use one of the cores.

A user in this thread posted an easy way to do that (and even to automate the process for you).
