Game Keeps Crashing

Does anyone else's game constantly crash? If so, have you found a fix?

I am having the same exact issue. Running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. I start the game and I see a blank screen, and can only hear the music. After a few seconds, it kicks me out of the game and takes me to my desktop. I go back in the game and it kicks me out again after a few seconds. It constantly repeats this.

That sounds even worse than my problem. My game is playable, it just crashes every 10 minutes so I have to keep rebooting the game.

Oh I meant to run the game on single core.
And also don't forget to activate expert mode to make compatibility tab accessible.

I set my core affinity to 1 and the game is still crashing :/

Nevermind! I set the core affinity to 0 and managed to do a speedrun of the game with no crashes. Thank you for your help!

I bought this for my girlfriend's mom because she said it was her favorite game when she was younger. She told me the game crashed after she played for a little bit and she couldn't find her save. So I went and tried to find a save and when I hit the "open" option the game crashed. Any ideas?

Sometime some antivirus software (or maybe worse - windows update) can block this game because it can messes desktop colors on xp/vista/7 OS so maybe disabling AV during gameplay session should solve the problem. Another suggestion would be to do some configuration with dxwnd such as forcing game to run on directX1-6. Or maybe redownloading the entire game sometimes works. Also strongly suggest to enable gpu scaling this will speed up scaling process when launching the game. Also saves can be stored in a cloud if you upload them in a SAVES folder.
