it looks like the ps4 pro version.. i noticed that it looks the same on the new trailer on the store page but WTF.. its ridiculous how bad it looks.
my gpu and cpu are not being taxed at all rofl.. my gpu is at 20-25% (and i only have a 980ti) and my cpu is at like 15%... so theres muuuuch more room for better graphics, a much better LOD etc :(
yeah i tweaked a bit and tried some stuff out and well.. the graphics are absolutely horrible.
the shadow resolution is WAY too low, this can't be considered high resolution shadows, not even close. at least on pc they should give an ultra option with real high resolution shadows.
also the anti aliasing is soooo bad, its mesmerizing.
even downscaled from 4k to 1080p with the nvidia fxaa (i know it makes everything a bit blurry but it helps massively against aliasing) you still see aliasing. its muuuch better, but still :(
furthermore as said, the LEVEL OF DETAIL (LOD) is unbelievably low. on pc it could easily be 5x higher without anyone who owns a gtx 970+ getting problems with the framerate.
as written, my gtx 980ti only has 20-25% gpu load on 1080p60 without drops with those maxed out graphics. downscaled from 4k to 1080p it still is at only 40-60% load. i could run this game @6k most likely without drops below 60fps.. instead of this i would just like better graphics in 1080p. better anti aliasing, better shadow resolutions and a much higher lod...
also some stuff is low quality like i've rarely seen. the drifting lines just vanish infront of you if other characters do them.. it looks crappy as hell.
besides the technical/graphical aspects though the game rocks. loving it and its supermuch fun. also feels very different to transformed in terms of gameplay so that it feels fresh :D
still i hope the devs will read this and create an ultra option for pc. that would be nice.
hahaha :D no you don't even know what you are talking about :D
i don't even have a intergrated gpu mate.. i'm on a desktop pc with an ryzen 2600x and a nvidia gtx 980ti !!
the game has just such horrible lowres graphics. the graphics maxed out on pc are identical to the ps4 pro graphics. it looks like ♥♥♥♥...
i'Ve downsampled it from 4k to 1080p and this makes it look much better in terms if aliasing and its more crisp, but the horrible lod and horrible lowres shadows can't be fixed from my side. only the devs can fix that..
don't wait, i won't be providing any. if you want to know what i mean just look the the ps4 pro version.. it just looks identical. i expected it to look MUCH better on pc rofl... its ridiculous. on pc at least they could add a lod option because the lod could easily be 3-5x larger than it is right now !! easily. also the shadow resolution should be much better aswell.

yep i agree.. especially those requirements made it look like the game was going to be fitted to our pc plattform and not a straight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ port.
the game neither needs an i5 8600k nor a gtx 970 für 1080p60. it maybe needs half of that processing power for maxed out 1080p60..
i love the game, but it looks atrocious. i'm used to better graphics on pc. it looks identical to the console versions -.- if i wouldn't be downscaling it from 4k it would look abysmal. only the option to downscale it from 4k to 1080p make it look somewhat alright..
its really not too much when i expect to have a higher shadow resolution and farther lod than we have right now. this is something that can be done in a few minutes by the devs if they wanted to...
i repeat IN A FEW MINUTES ... internally they just need to raise the shadow resolution which should be like a few clicks only and then change the distance on the lod which again is a work of a few minutes.... but ofc we will never get it because no one cares :( a straight port for more money than on consoles, what a joke :( at least the game is good gameplaywise, thats a bit redeeming
Never read anything about that ♥♥♥♥, it's like always : you can use your GPU to do more, but that's all '-'
You clearly don't know anyhing about game development and graphics engine way to manage things...
The shadow res is low from near of the models, because they are generated in a way that when you're away of the model, it looks sharp, like, when you're playing.
If you increase the shadow render to be sharp even when you are near them, you have to change the way it render, because if you jsut add reoslution on it, then when you ar eaway, wiuth a lot of ultra sharp shadows around, the graphic engine will suffer way more than you think.
So they have to absolutely change the way shadow render from far and near to match what you want, and yeah, that's useless tor ender just a little better 3 seconds of your character near the camera
But of course, on 4K monitor, you can see all imperfections, and that's why I think gaming in 4K is for now totally stupid, even if fun to see something playing int hat sort of resolution, I'm okay with that, but sorry, it's way too early to make game developer taking a care about 4k users, out of just giving high resolution textures and just the resolution itself.
