Why Sonic Riders needs to come back
Sonic Riders was on a league of it's own. It's a unique racing game that was developed to counter Mario Kart. It's gameplay was unique, it's mechanics were unique which altogether made it an all different racing game of it's own. And it was executed very well as well to make it fun. It feels like an ideal Sonic Racing Game and one of the best ideas SEGA had!

The extreme gears, the skates, the bikes, the atmosphere, the uniqueness, the design, the style, everything felt so "Sonic-Like". That's what I can say. I Prefer Sonic being in such things than being in a car and copying mario kart in a way. And one more thing about this game is that it is SKILL-BASED. If you lost, you lost since you played poorly. You have to EARN that 1st place. No Items or Luck will help you turn the tables that easily.

This Series also featured different modes such as the story mode, the missions mode, the time attack, the survival mode and the World Grand Prix. All of them were different and awesome in their own way. It even had the black market from the adventure series where we can buy new gears with the help of rings.

But, One thing I did not like that much in riders was that it did not have that much of a variety of stages in my opinion. Every Babylon stage felt like a different themed counterpart of the heroes stages. So it felt as if there were lesser stages in the game. But other than that, it's Great!

If I were to be honest, the gameplay in the first riders was so much better and the one that should be improved. {I loved the boost, the trick system, the turbulence and many more the first game had to offer! It was so amazing!} but I did like the soundtrack, the story and the atmosphere it's sequel had. This game also featured characters not only from the sonic series, but even from other fan favourite SEGA franchises like AiAi, Ulala, Nights, Amigo etc..,

So, these are some of the reasons why I feel like this series has so much potential and is very underrated. It was an amazing way to counter mario kart, but it was shadowed due to failure of 06. Just Imagine if we get a new riders game with more characters, more stages with more variety, new gameplay modes and ONLINE. It would be awesome! So please SEGA. Bring Back Riders.

Fun Fact: Sonic Riders, which was a racing game released 15 YEARS AGO, has more characters than TSR!
Plus, it even had a much better story than not only TSR, but even the sonic games we had this whole decade in my opinion!

I think we need mostly Sonic: Free Riders on PC what has been released only on X360 with Kinect, since it has more funny gameplay like in my opinion.

Pretty much the only kart racer I've played that relies heavily on skill instead of luck is CTR Crash Team Racing on the PS1. You really had to master that game's drift mechanics, getting extra air and boost off jumps and knowledge of the courses. Rarely ever did I feel like I lost due to bad luck with items and AI rubber banding.

Although by far the biggest flaw with Sonic Riders is its very steep learning curve - the game pulls no punches even at the start and expects you to get really good at it even the first time you play despite not even knowing how anything works. It can be really good fun once you understand how it works, especially if you get 4 people that also know how to play for some multiplayer, it's just too bad it takes a bit too long to get there.

Well, that's Sonic For ya! But Yeah i do agree it takes a lot of time to master it but when you do get along with the mechanics, it's a lot of fun! I hope that even these kinds of things get a little tweaked when they release Riders 4 at 2055.
