I'm getting the exact same issue. Black screen and then it closes a few seconds afterwards. Went so far as to reinstall Windows entirely and still getting the problem. Very frustrating.

Event viewer isn't particularly enlightening either:

Hey Cheesyboi, seen your posts elsewhere while searching around trying to solve this. People have been incorrectly telling you your CPU is the problem. It's not. A 2500k should be fine. We're coming across some weird software issue here that I hope someone can solve for us.

I really don't know what the problem is, the laptop is practically new.

I have the slight teeny tiny feeling this is related to Windows 10 version 1903.

It's very new so only a small percentage of PCs will have updated to it so far. However people are reporting issues running some (but not all) Steam games when running it.

Got a feeling that's the problem, but still looking into it and if anyone else knows better I'll be happy to hear it.

Can both of you please type "About your PC" into the Windows search and let me know which Windows version it says you're running (under Windows specifications)?

Edition: Windows 10
Version: 1809
Installed on: 22/05/19
OS Build: 17763.529

I updated literally 2 days ago.

Ahh okay, thanks. That kills my theory that it was the Windows version lol

They roll out updates gradually, when I reinstalled Windows I assume I forced it.

To anyone that reads this, both myself and Cheesyboi have been DMing and we've managed to both get this working by installing All Stars Racing (the original), launching it, closing it, and then opening Team Sonic Racing.

It might be that you just need to install .Net 3.5 to play Team Sonic Racing as that's what All Stars Racing's installer forces you to do.
