That's with a GTX1080
I get about 250 fps with v-sync turned off, though that doesn't seem to help. It would be great if a developer could confirm if this is an issue with their game engine, if it actually only runs at 60 or if it does support higher framerates.
I would highly recommend force limiting your fps to 120 using nvidia profile inspector. I was sceptical of this when I read about it, but I tried it, and my game is buttery smooth now. No stuttering at all.
I actually really hate it when people just blindly look at the FPS counter, even though there's clearly something going on and game is definitely not running at that framerate. I had so many people saying that Castle Crashers ran at 60 FPS because counter said so, even though it was always 30 FPS. (remastered patch made it completely uncapped and difference is night and day)

As you can see, about every other frame updates on 120 FPS, meaning that the main gameplay and physics are definitely capped at 60 FPS internally.
UI elements and particles seem to run at full blast, but that mostly just makes everything look inconsistant and stuttery. Either cap at 60 (or 120) to make it far less of an issue.
