Game won't open
Everytime I go to open up the game, it initially opens up to the black screen before it loads up, and then it crashes and closes itself

Anyone know what to do to stop this?

Did not know that. Lemme see.
windows needs to take the 369 mbs (witch is almost the same as copy a file to the RAM) then DENUVO needs to decrypt the real .exe file on ram, then load the rest of the gbs of the game files to run it. so if you have a fragmented/NON SSD disk with the game installed, you are to wait 5 minutes or more while all that of the above happens.

Game crashes after waiting 1-2 min on that black screen
then refund it. or your windows has an issue or your computer. but the game clearly does not wanna start up. what anti virus do you use?

open the nvidia control panel, and in the apps/3D rendering options add team sonic racing, and choose all the options disabled OR app managed. that might help.

do you have all the drivers working? install the gaming basics:
directx 9
visual studio (latest) redistributable
why did you reinstall windows 10?

yes those are among the first things I usually install. Still not working

I cleaned up because Steam started randomly freezing. like 1-2 min long freezes (app not responding). Eventually it'd work again after waiting a while. Started doing that out of the blue, without having installed neither updates nor apps for days before that. I initially thought it may be coming from my hard drive. Now im using a new SSD (I was gonna change anyways), I played to different games last night, so far so good.

Then i read somewhere that the last Windows 10 update was creating issues with steam for many users. I figured that may have been the issue

Thanks anyways :))))

I had this problem because I'm using an N-version of Windows 10.
Installed media pack, restarted PC, now works perfect.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4016817/media-feature-pack-for-n-edition-of-windows-10-version-1703-april-2017

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4516397/media-feature-pack-for-windows-10-n-november-2019

(checked version by running 'winver' with Win+r keyboard combo)
I had to do this one for my version, it lists the features it includes.
It's only a 70MB install so no big deal
