The most pay to win game out there.
This game is entirely pay to win and is hardly balanced.

The game is more or less a joke sadly.

Anyone that actually plays this daily is pathetic and most likely sucks major ass at grand strategy games.

Don't get me wrong its a cool theory to have for a game but the monetisation is more or less a joke and turns this game as well as the active community into nothing more than a clown fest.

They have multiple games out with the exact same model and each one is as bad as the other.

Imagine thinking a strategy game where you can spend money to get an edge was a good idea. The fact that people play it.. I mean.. this is targeted at the low IQ mobile game audience that will spend money to get an edge in the game as well.. they are borderline retarded.

Also any criticism on the official forms is met with the topic getting locked which is why the first few pages on the forum (Which you cant even register for now) is littered with deleted threads by the hilarious moderators.

Oh and yes I am telling people to avoid this trash and to just play Hearts of Iron IV or something that is actually a game as Conflict of Nations 3 is not a game it is more or less a pathetic wanna be game with the sole purpose of stealing your money.

Oh the developers are hardly worth being called developers as well. This game is 5 years old and is still filled with bugs and much needed QoL improvements which will never be added.

I sense some discontent.
Tell us how you really feel.

The game is not entirely pay to win. I've spent $0 so far and have beaten players who dropped $100s on a single server.

However, it is true that money in the hands of a player with more than zero skill can completely unbalance the game.

Agree with you.
If you have basic knowledge of real warfare or war history you should be fine without pay a single penny.
That is why I like this game so much, It take time like in reality.

I play a lot of grand strategy and honestly I like this game because it is very accessible to my friends who usually dont have interest in grand strategy. The pay to win aspect is very real but gold costs are pretty inflated and a pretty large sum of money is required to actually make a significant difference. As much as i love HOI i must say that beating a player who spent real life money to win is a very satisfying feeling.

Pineapple, sorry, that´s complete nonsense.
1) CON wasn´t a mobilegame, it was designed and played on desktop and steam.
Yes, there is a mobile version, devs are pushing but to be honest,it´s quite good, even when I prefere the desktop.

2) PTW... no not really. To beat me f.e. you need to spend at least 500 € in a round. Yes, if you got unlimited real money option, it´s PTW. If someone is spending up to 50 € he would not be a thread for an experienced player.
There are some golders, but sorry, if they bother you : quit and take a new round.

3) Bugs ??? There was some month a problem on the iphone with a black screen and you had to restart the app but that´s more or less all. Beside really small stuff when patching something, like the attack command for planes, but that bug was fixed after a few days.
On desktop there are more or less no bugs at all, or may be some very specific in the very depth of commands, like stacking elite frigs and not be able to land 6 helos on it or so...

4) You can´t compare it to HOI4... CON has no AI, no singleplayer option. The fun is : 100% of your opponents ( if they don´t quit, what is not the devs fault) are human.

You must not forget, that if you pay for a package......it will allow you to post pictures with the article you publish. So some people just buy the package for that reason, so they can rp a little.

Politic in real life, money talks when electing... Also called "p2W" or pay too get your place. Sooooo this game are VERY close to reality.
And consider tou get gold for free when game end, it is not REALY a p2w game, it is a more grind too win game.

So basically, you join around 10 games and play them all. Once you understand how the game works, you can identify who's paying to win. In the games where you notice this behavior, you exit because it's not genuine gameplay strategy. However, if you're up for it, you can counteract this by forming coalitions and advocating for your value.

Actually I love this game because it's really not pay 2 win

I don't know how much money you have but when it costs nearly 1000 gold to build 1 infantry unit, do the Math. Gold is the reward but its no where near enough to make it worth using in the Game itself. I received 1700 gold for winning a scenario, BIG DEAL. It took me 75 days and as with most scenarios most opponents leave by the end of week 1 , some don't even make it that far. This is a GAME people, not a WAY OF LIFE. You need to reevaluate your life if you think "winning" this has any real reward other than pure enjoyment
Such bitterness, someone got out spent.

People will and do spend thousands on a single match. And it's more common than you think. Especially when you hurt their feelings and call them out for being an idiot for spending, they will spend even harder to sate their fragile ego.

I'm in a match right now as Japan and India is the whale of the lobby. And he's really bad at the game, the problem is I cannot progress forward because he instantly buys stacks of units when he's been caught with his pants down and instantly builds airfields/shipyards when he needs.

Just so you can see I'm not full of crap here's the screenshots of said game (notice how he instantly buys back officers):

Map and econ by day 15: https://prnt.sc/T1VxhrUoa_By

India's total unit losses by day 17 (excluding base buildings + airfields):
27 mot
2 recon
3 gun heli
7 air inf
11 asf
3 naval sf
10 naval bomber
1 inf officer
1 fixed wing officer
1 naval officer
10 elite fighter
1 elite frigate
1 frigate
2 destroyer

The point is this sort of behaviour is not out of the ordinary. You can say "just go next" all you like, but it doesn't change the fact that the next game is likely the same (of course it does depend on the game type; overkill seems to always have at least 1 whale).

most whales are really bad players, and its extra fun to beat them :steamhappy:

Zombiesbum...

I never said that there are no golders.
There are and it´s mostly a challenge for me to beat them.
There are some that spent like 10-20 € on the first day and quit later.
Sure I met in 3 years of CON 2-3 guys that really spent a lot of mony, there was a guy, I guess he must have spent like 1.000 €... but I beat him and that is really fun!

In general it is NOT PTW.
I won ca. 65 rounds in row, only los 1 or 2 in this time.
I only spend the gold that I win, but that is literally nothing.
If you win as single player you get 1.850 gold.
That is nice to boost a single research a day or buy a single unit... but nothing that really helps.

So, if you think you really understood the game (!!! Most who blame me or other pro-players of golding are only newbs that don´t understand the mechanics) and you meet a whale-golder... just quit, easy.

But be sure, IF you are a good player you can win in 99% of all rounds without PTW.
