When you open the game and the "Lakeview Valley Settings" window appears, click on the Input tab.

i meant keyboard controlls it says nothing about how to open the inventory

You have to unlock the inventory yourself. The basic controls are WASD, E, F, and space.

WASD keys are not the only way to play, they're just the preferred option. The arrow keys also work for movement, and the game features controller support.
