Black screen on start up, anyone heard of this?

I really want to play this game and cant find any posts about this issue. As soon as i start up i get a black screen. No cpu usage in task manager and totaslly unresponsive. I'm really hoping som,eone else has experienced this and found a fix.

Getting the same too. Launch goes to a black screen with the gold frame mouse cursor. Very odd as i had the kickstarter backer beta test and it worked just fine.
