I understand them but apparently you don't.
Anyway I hope you can play the missions with the editor and complete the missions in that way.
You made an absolute statement when you said that I described, "every game with a defensive mission," when you have never played every game with a defensive mission. I've played King Arthur, and that title gives you plenty of resources to complete defensive missions.
I have no clue how to use the editor nor how to complete the game using it either. Any decent resource that shows how to use it for each mission?
Does it, or does it not, prevent a cheat mod? Are you part of the creative process behind the game? If so, why does it not specify what the mod is for and what it is not for? In other words, you could be giving me your opinion; further, why is there a cheatsmod for other Men of War titles but not the 2009 game? Where are your primary sources for your answers from the makers of the game?
Thanks for the straightforward response.
If players want to use cheats they should be free to do so, cheats can help you experiment with the game/tactics, cheats can help you overcome bugs in games that render further progress impossible (I've had to resort to this a dozen times in the MoW games alone), you can use them to claw back lost progress due to crashes.
Cheats poke unfair, trolling, extreme difficult mission designers in the ass with purple rubber 12-inchers, that's why such designers, eg the designers of *these* games, deliberately try to eliminate all cheat options.
Most of all cheating can also be a lot of fun.
I'm sure I've seen MoW cheat mods somewhere. However, even if I'm mistaken, you don't need no cheat mod..... (or could make your own custom one), there are cheat options open, such as:-
Though there are no traditional "cheat codes", you can play most scenarios through the editor, providing you with complete full on "god mode" control of the whole battle - you can manipulate as much or as little as you please. Though I'm amazed the anti-cheat Nazi designers allowed this to be so!
There are also utilities such as "Cheat Engine" - though many games block the actions of such direct memory editing utils..... (I bet the anti-cheat Nazis behind MoW did this)
Vehicle / weapon / unit stats files are also easily editable in MoW..... which can also be used for cheating - eg you could give your M4A2's 300mm frontal armour..... Again, I'm amazed the designers let this one slip their anti-cheat nets!
I must agree with the "Cheating is Fun" part. Mostt of the time, after i played trough a game fully. I use some cheats and just mess around a little.
For example in MoW:AS. i still plaay the Story in editor becaause i can give me a bettter army, make my enemies stronger etc.
"Not true"?
It is true, if there is no Cheats MOD, nobody made one.
And yes, I agree it's more satisfying (if less fun / more frustration) to playthrough 100% legit first..... cheats can still be used as a last resort (eg if bugs stop progress, or you're about to smash your skull through your monitor).....
All out invincible GodMode can be rather boring / unfulfilling..... that's why I like a big variety of custom cheats that I behoove to be as subtle or profane as I please! Which is what playing through the MoW Editor allows.
I just made the obvious statement, IF there is none, then probably no one made one yet.
You too are a verteran of old Richard Dawkin's forum huh?
No i just LOVE arguing about things, and punching into other people that what i said wasn't wrong. Just my lifestyle. But well, most of the time i try protecting whatt i said...it turns out i was wrong. But not this time!...i hope so.
Yes I've noticed that!
Damn I spelt veteran wrong! Flipping keyboard!
