Major concern with railroading

Am I the only one who is really concerned by the railroading of forcing you to do Elle's stuff as a priority before literally ANYONE else or she just straight dies?
I mean, I don't hate Elle, far from it, but when the game gives you a game over because you didn't do exactly what it wants you to do, to the detriment of every other character, that feels like I have no choice or agency.
I don't know if this is a running thing in the story, I've yet to go back and play beyond that point (mostly because it actually hurt my motivation to keep playing, that's how bad that is), but it feels cheap to have no warning, just a game over because you missed one event one time and didn't even meet her. I'm really not a fan of making game overs like that without even warning the player first.

Agree. If there is only 1 correct path, make it a movie, not a video game.

This isn't true, though. I know I had to delay the first Elle date because it got scheduled for the same time as Cassie's, and Cassie is the one that you can't leave hanging, according to the Hintoscope. Also according to the Hintoscope, there's one week where you can't reschedule on either Cassie and Elle.

We've been hearing a lot of this, so we're looking into ways to make it feel less like a surprise and a little more obvious that you're making a bad choice. We're also considering making the checks for when you make a bad choice come right away, rather then a few days later. It's still in the early stages and we need to test the changes we did, but hopefully it helps!
