Spellweaver Exhaustion
My spellweaver keeps exhausting but its too early, possible bug? I have three cards in hand, I play 2 with the intention of long resting the next round and then playing the Reviving Ether to bring back all losses. Am I missing something? Do I need to have two available cards to long rest? I don't think this happens in the board game version (which I have played many many times).

I don't have the pc game but tons of board game experience and it really sounds like a hell of a mean bug, you have all the qualifications for either a short or long rest since you would get 2 cards in your hand afterwards.
I've had this problem as well. Glad it's not just me!
I had same bug with rogue. I had 3 cards and played 2 of them. I intended to long rest and stall for time while my second party member finishes the dungeon. My rogue got exhausted next turn instead.

The intention is not to play reviving ether alone. It should work as follows.

I have 3 cards. I play 2. Then I have 2 in discard. The next turn I have one card in hand, two in discard. I long rest, losing one card from discard. This leaves me with two cards to play, including reviving ether. But in the digital game, I am exhausting without the chance to take a long (or indeed, short!) rest.

Same, three times now. Not sure what is triggering the early exhaustion, but it IS occurring, and so far every time I've only had 3 cards left with 2 in discard. Someone above said there was at least one time where it has not happened, but not for me.
Be great if at card selection you could flag a card as important... a couple of times now I've accidentally gone to do damage with my spell weaver instead of using the elixir... complete idiocy on my part... but would be nice to be able to set a reminder somehow so you don't forget

Both go to discard (with 3 cards in hand am not going to be playing losses!). Anyone else ran the Spellweaver yet and had this problem?

Never have had this issue. Have to be careful when you're down to 3 cards with the spellweaver btw... if you take a hard hit or 2 on one of those turns and are forced to burn cards, you're done.
I haven't played in a couple weeks, where does this stand now? Has it been addressed by the devs? Fixed? Or are we just doing it wrong?

Please fix this issue. Spellweaver keeps exhausting for no reason.
Although this thread is a bit older, I also recently experienced this issue today. This was my move with the spellweaver:
Hand Cards:
Mana Bolt
Revolving Ether
Ride the Wind
Discarded cards:
Frost Armor
Lost cards:
Fire Orbs
Flame Strike
Frost Armor
Impaling Eruption
Icy Blast

I selected Ride the Wind and Mana Bolt for my move with using Initiative of Ride the Wind (83), so my turn was the last. I first played Ride the Wind Bottom side moving my spellweaver 8 fields which moves this card to the lost pile. The I activated Mana Bolt Top side hitting an enemy. After my turn, the round was over and the next card selection phase started. Even before the card selection, my spellweaver exhausted immediately. I was not able to select anything before (which is remarkable because with other characters I am usually able to select a rest an then the character exhausts.
From my perspective, this should be my deck on this round:
Hand Cards:
Revolving Ether
Discarded cards:
Mana Bolt
Frost Armor
Lost cards:
Fire Orbs
Flame Strike
Impaling Eruption
Icy Blast
Ride the Wind

Which should me give the option to perform a rest. I would habe selected a small rest, leaving Revolving Ether and either Mana Bolt or Frost Armor in my hand. Playing Revolving Ether, I would have recover the 6 cards in the lost pile (5 cards from above an the on lost from small rest).

I did not record this behaviour, I will try to do so in the next game. I am pretty sure that I played this kind of "no cards left" before without any issues. I do not know if the bug depends on the type of cards in the hand/discard pile.
This is sill a bug just had 4 burned card, 4 discard got exhausted with no option to rest at all
This is still happening in the current build of this game, exactly as people describe it. Very easy to reproduce. I have Reviving Ether available in my hand, and two cards in my discard pile. I should be able to rest (either long or short), burn either card in the discard pile, and then have two valid cards to play on my turn. Instead, the game is just automatically exhausting you on the turn that you would be resting on, and giving you no options to stop it.
