Berserker: From the Brink
The card text reads that it heals the amount equal to the differnce between the maximum hit point value and the current hit point value. (Card does not state that the current has to be lower than the maximum.)

Situation is as follows: Unbridled Power has been activated and the Berseker has healed herself up to 16 hit points.
If she now uses From the Brink, based on the text, she should be able to heal herself six more points, as the difference is six, up to 22 hit points total.
Instead the system heals her DOWN to her original maximum hit points of 10. This shouldn't happen. Either she should be allowed to overheal the six hit points (up to a max of 26) or at least should not lose hit points due to a heal action.

never heard of a character going beyond the hitpoints they have at their level

Lightning has a card that allows exactly that.

Though now I'm curious whether this was ever addressed. I might test it myself at some point, if no-one beats me to it.

Read Unbridled carefully. It specifically states that for the purpose of abilities his maximum hitpoints are his normal maximum hitpoints, not 26.
Brink heals you amount equal to Maximum - current.
10 - 16 = -6

They're talking about Lightning Symbol (Berserker), not the Brute.
Both the class name you used and the pronouns are wrong.

No. It doesn't.
You clearly failed to read their issue correctly, because what happened makes little sense given the ability's literal description.

The effect is based upon the difference between the two numbers, and not an explicit substraction as you describe.
It is therefore asking for the absolute value (ie: distance between), and should thus always be a positive integer (or zero).

Here's the text:
  • Heal X where X is the difference between your maximum hit points value and current hit points value.
The "difference between" 10 and 16 is the exact same as the "difference between" 16 and 10.
Much like asking for the distance between two points, it does not matter whether you're going from A to B, or from B to A, because the distance (ie: difference) remains the same.

I never used any class's name, so i'm not sure what you are getting at there. But yeah, i called Zerker a he, i do it by accident all the time, it doesn't matter.

I also didn't fail to read the issue, at all. I'm well aware that difference in mathematics usually refers to the absolute value. Whether or not it does so for the purposes of Unbridled Power has been discussed to death both in the BG forums and on these forums back in beta, to no conclusion. When i showed that subtraction, i was simply stating how GH Digital handles it.
