What's the point of selecting cards at level up, when you can reset anytime?
I don't really understand why their is a mechanic that forces you to choose cards at level up which go to you deck, when you can just reset the character and re-pick the cards at any time.
You basically can play all cards, just have to go through the process of reset and re-selecting.

I think if reset stays that way, it would me more convenient to just give the player all cards directly and remove the choice.
Since there are some cards that are super bad nobody with some experience would pick, maybe that would also make those cards be played more.

Or, alternatively, the reset could be tied to some costs. Like gold.

The board game doesn't allow you to reset, so that option will be missing in the campaign once that's released. It's in Guildmaster to encourage you to swap cards, enchantments, and items so as to better test everything while it is in early access. It may well change once that's over.

I would bet that this setup is in the game for the reasons Slow Dog mentions, but mainly, they have been adding some of the missing cards that didn't get included with several of the characters so there wasn't any way to get them without resetting the characters after patches. I do know that several people have talked about house-ruling their board games to let people switch level up cards so they may leave that in as an option, or they may turn that off since all the cards will be in the final release.

I know I've only switched out one card outside of the missing cards being added just because it didn't work the way I wanted it to making the other card better for me. Having only 9 card decks on a couple of characters when you get 9 cards on level ups is far more of a head-scratcher in my book as it guarantees you won't get to use a deck full of leveled up cards as those characters have key cards they start with you can't dump (Spellweaver's burned cards restore card for instance). But that's a quibble with the existing game not the digital version.

In either context you're supposed to have a limited selection from the level 2+ cards. No one can put both level 9 cards in their deck; if you want both level 8s then you have to forego having a level 9; two level 7s means giving up the 8 or the 9; etc.

Personally, I'd let the player use any card but increase difficultity, by 1 at levels 4+ and 7+ (which we can do manually)
Perk window need a untoggle button for perks.

Difficulty already increases every 2 levels, as the monster level is the average group level divided by 2 and rounded up.
