Saying this is not a bug is just ridiculous.
Agreed. It was either intentional or unintentional, but if it breaks current functionality then it is a degraded version of the game.
Think Flaming Fowl are not the Devs anymore or at least not for this last patch.
Would love to get a timeline from the devs on when a mac update is due to be released, if at all. Should we be considering a refund if the game we bought for cross-play no longer supports it?
We've been playing regularly for the better part of two years, but this latest patch has pretty much ended our run.
They also recommended you back up your save if you do this. There's details in the hotfix notes on how to do so. I believe they say to expect an error if you have launched the scenario/save since the last update.
When I tried this, I got an error popup, but after 5 seconds the map came up and seemed fine. I'll give it a try and see if it will actually work to play with friends, but I got past the error at least.
And we likely can't roll back without everyone's saves bricking, so lets just hope the developer speaks up as to if this is something that is intended to be corrected. Otherwise any ongoing crossplay saves are gone.
Devs, we really need some information from you on when this is going to be fixed!
