Game works best solo or hot seat for multiplayer. (Actual internet multiplayer has issues for some.)
Keep in mind even if playing solo you need to run with 2-4 mercenaries. The "Solo quests" where you play one mercenary is not part of the game at the moment. The solo quests are a single scenario for each character class. (I don't think they have a license for it or the Forgotten Circles expansion at the moment. I am not following this as closely as what I use to.)
Thanks for the reply! Good to know controller is working fine.
Read a few posts saying some achievements are bugged. Did you experience this yourself? And would you say that the guild mode has nearly infinite replay value? I never played the physical game so I'm in the dark here.
So the guildmaster is not an infinite roguelike mode?
I usually just play campaign mode now. There is a lot of replay there, but keep in mind this is based on a boardgame. It is impossible to play through all of the scenarios in one play through since your choices will close off certain scenarios and open others.
Group I am playing with is more into KDM at the moment so it is hard for me to follow this game as much until Frosthaven is released.
There's a set of 20ish "Job" scenarios that repeat forever. They have a degree of randomisation - all scenarios in Guildmaster do to some degree - but it's not a roguelike. Flaming Fowl developers have occasionally expressed interest in doing such a thing, but not so far.
Does Guildmaster ever get as difficult as Campaign? Me and my friend finished Campaign and tried Guildmaster for a few nights and were just murdering everything. It was kinda boring so we stopped. Does it ramp up eventually? Might get into it if it does.
Thanks for your time
So sitting on my couch playing the game on the TV. Looking good here.
