PC version not following the rules
There are severe instance of where the game doesnt follow the propper rules, all to the detriment of the player.

For instance. an enemy given no other option should move toward and OVER traps if there are no other paths. Now they just stand still.
An AoE ability with the option to consume an element to add STUN, should stune all targets, not giving you the option to stun one target.
There are several cases like this.

When can we expect this patched? Or are there mods that acutally fixes the rules?

Show an example.
I think this is one of those PICNIC bugs.
Problem in chair, not in computer.

Was there any spot it could attack from if it were to have infinite movement? If not, the enemy doesn’t move. This is the same as the boardgame.
If you have specific examples of it not working correctly, that would help devs reproduce the issue internally.

Exactly this. In the physical board game, if there is no way with infinite movement that the monster would be able to attack, they will not move. If, however, with infinite movement they can hit a target but would have to walk through a trap, then they will walk through said trap.

The stun target I'd need more of an example to respond to what card or so we are talking about.

There's also Gloomhaven Rule #1 to deal with.

Who says the digital version has to follow the same rules as the cardboard version? Two different products, IMO.

I'm pretty sure that's part of the lure of the digital product. There are a few differences, where programming the card logic meets the wall, but aside from those the whole "thing" is that the digital game is as identical as possible.

Yeah I have not had a problem with either of these scenarios not working as intended. A specific example is needed. What card was stun being added to and what was the board state that resulted in no movement.

That said exactly once I had a monster not move at all and after triple checking where it could move given infinite movement was able to determine a bug had taken place. But only the once.

The monster pathing works quite well, I didn't experience issues in my three campaign playthroughs, at least not for normal monsters (with NPCs, I was sometimes a bit confused)

Besides what was explained by other people above, I think that the rule is also that the monster must end its movement closer to its target - if (as the crow flies) stepping on the trap wouldn't make the monster end up closer to its focus, then it wouldn't move.

Regarding the stun in AoE, it always worked for me (example: the Spellweaver's ColdFire). Some monsters are immune to stun (not frequent, but it's there). If you have specific examples, mention the combination of stun card, element consumed, and monster targeted, so the devs can test the potential issue.
