Have any of the recent co-op problems been fixed?
I picked this up on a recent sale at the recommendation of a friend, but I'm primarily only interested in starting the game as co-op at least. A brief dive through the discussion boards and I've seen people for weeks stating that the game is currently an unplayable, unstable, annoying mess to maintain any consistent playthroughs on multiplayer due to recent patches.

Has any of that been smoothed out, or are people still having constant headaches dealing with that hassle?

At least for my group, I'd say no. We have 4 people and it never fails that one person is constantly having to reconnect or desyncs such as they took their turn but we all see "waiting on X". We played today and the lucky person got booted or had issues at least 4 times, but this was over a 2 hour session and 3 maps. So...take that how you will I suppose. We still had fun though.

Newp. It's a shame, can play literally all day long solo, but bring a buddy in and you're constantly reloading the scenario. Joining games takes a lot of time to download the new save, and that's even if rejoining fixes the issue in the first place.

At first, we thought yeah. But just encountered our desync. So, no. Game broke for multiplayer still.

Not really getting how multiplayer can be so buggy after working somewhat decently previously. I get this is early release, but we're talking about the "stable" release branch, not the beta version. How did the stable branch get this buggy multiplayer code?

Anyway I'd avoid MP with more than 2 people unless you enjoy desync issues and really want to submit a crapton of error reports.

I was playing yesterday in a group of three people. The game crashed during the scenario, especially after killing the last mob we didn't return to campain Map, so we had to leave the game. An two times as our group leader was collecting rewards all other group members were disconnected. i hope they fix this soon.

I noticed some improvement this last couple of day. At the very least, they seem to have fixed the long rest desync.

Still a lot of issues on MP which made it a real pain.
It'd be better if they allowed a desync person to reconnect to the game during a scenar.

There are still problems, we had to disconnect and reconnect twice last session (4 hours long) at some point we started a mission and our group saw two different situation on screen, monster in different places and and doors in different place, two of us disconnected and reconnected and all was fine, but it is messy. I still find it enjoyable but there is work to be done.

Playing regularly w 3p - have to reload maybe once every 3 games. Meaning its annoying but we can pick up right in the middle of where we left off in a mission. So, not sure if its the same for others but the 2 minutes it takes us all to load back in not a big deal for us as we get long stretches with no issues.

Yeah, we seem to get desync issues when we long rest in multiplayer.

You can check their trello bug tracker to see what bugs they have fixed and which ones are not. To answer question they have not fixed all of the multiplayer bugs

Constant desync issues playing with group of 3. In 2 hours played, 3 desyncs. Pretty unplayable

I've been playing multiplayer for a while now and I find that the desync typically happens on older PCs or laptops. The game does not seem to be overly optimized and even the newest video cards are being pushed to their max. I think a lot of the desyncing issues come from overheating. That being said, when I play with people that have newer equipment things run fine very few issues. The person running the AMD R280 with a broken fan has issues once a level.

Just played a game yesterday and finished 2 scenarios with "only" 2 de-sync errors. We were getting them every couple of rounds before though so it was a huge improvement.

I also noticed when I use stun powder with Spellweaver's ability that lets you target 4 things in a line, that pretty consistently causes a problem so I stopped that combo, unfortunately and that has helped.

Just played a 3 player game, had 5 de-syncs in one mission, it's become a massive problem
