You can also cross play between Mac and PC. Is that an allowed subject?
It's unknown whether PC and console will cross play Gloomhaven. The port is barely underway.
We couldn't play with each other, because they had a different revision. (EA was behind with updates)
So it is a 100% valid question to ask if you can "crossplay" between Steam and Epic.
Another game would be Worms, if I remember it correctly. And I'm pretty sure there are many more games that have problems if players bought them from different stores.
While this used to be very much true, Epic and Steam made an agreement in August this year to open 100% crossplay between the platforms.
