Playing with only 1 character when you have a group of 4 characters
Is there any way to change the number of pc in the group?. I started with 4 pc, and now I want to level up a 5th character without advancing the campaign nor the other characters. How do I form an only one character group? how do I delete the other 3 characters from the group?.
Thanks.

You cannot play with a single character though. You need two characters at the minimum. You can keep some in the "reserve" and plug and play them into your party as desired - the scenario difficulty will be automatically adjusted.

Yeah, you can have a roster of as many mercs as you want, and you can rotate them around for different scenarios.

The limitations:

2-4 characters in a scenario. No more, no less.
No duplicates of a merc type in the same scenario.
You still only have the same number of items in the shop. So if there are only two copies of the +2 boots, for example, you can't equip them on five different characters. The bigger your roster "on the bench", the more thin your items will be.

I assume that once my Guild has purchased items, they can be freely moved around and re-equipped between characters, as I decide who to take on the next mission?

If you are talking about guildmaster items are bound to someone but can be rebound to another merc by paying half the cost of the item, in campaign mode a merc owns an item and will only part with it by selling it into the shop or by retiring

Since I am playing with shared Gold, that seems an extremely stupid rule. We are a guild, why can't we transfer items????

Also, as far as campaign mode goes, if a merc loots a nice item from a chest, but it is far better suited for another Merc, they are basically screwed?

No. Just the opposite. Items belong to the characters, not the guild.

In campaign you sell them back for 1/2 price, then another character buys them for full price. In guildmaster you "rebind" them for half price. It's functionally the same, except in guildmaster all the gold is in a shared pile while in campaign each character has his or her own gold.

What typically happens is that if your merc loots a chest and gets an item that they can't use (or that is better for someone else), they sell it to the store for 1/2 price. A valuable piece of loot might net you 25 gold or more, which is not a small amount.

Some other merc would have to buy it from the store at full price, though. Shopkeeper has to make his profit, I guess.

They are selfish mercenaries who want to get nice retirement, why would they hand valuable stuff to other people just to be nice?
