Anyone else having Multiplayer problems?

I've previously played multiplayer a number of sessions online. As of a few weeks/ month or so ago multiplayer has stopped working - connection keeps timing out.

We can still play games that aren't GH online, it's just GH that won't connect us.

Anyone else having this problem? Resetting router, restarting game etc. does nothing, and we're able to play different games fine.

Mods any word on improving multiplayer?
I wait ages and send invites over and over again before anything ever connects. Once in, games go fine - but we've been trying over and over again for the best part of an hour and connection keeps timing out

Up until January we never had any connection issues with Gloomhaven, but since February, we get a timeout error almost every time we try to connect to each other.
It's possible to find the session, but when it's about "Downloading new save", I get an error message with the wording "Unkown error occured",time after time.

We don't have any problems playing other games online (also via Steam) and it's also no problem for me to play Gloomhaven in single-player mode.

We are also having this issue now. Wish they would fix it. Every round we need to reboot the game and re-host. Unplayable.

We've got connection issues too for the first time. Disconnects every 20-30mins. Everyone's internet is good, never had a problem before. Had to quit in the end, mid-scenario, as it was unplayable. Very disappointing.

The hosting company that supplies the servers which support multiplayer were having problems with one set last night. Should be fixed now, and they're looking at ways to mitigate the problem in future.

Yes it was our first night trying the game multiplayer for our team ! really bad experience ^^ but i'm glad to know it was a temporary issue. Let's hope next time can more that a round before having to reconnect !

Played four time with no problems with a friend, after with 2 friends, yesterday was horrible each turn i was put to menu screen without any message from the game, instantly...and the host had to reload the game to access multiplayer (option unavailable untill the game reload.)

I've been hosting a campaign with friends for a few months then last night i couldn't host or join, while my other friends could still host and join. Thought I was my firewall but i've turned all the features off and see nothing in the logs.. is this some kind of regional issue? The problem persists this morning.

this was my exact issue last night as well, everyone could connect except for me so i tried all manner of troubleshooting but nothing worked. Tested again this morning and was the same issues can't host or join a game says backend failure

Edit: my issue was "resolved" by removing the Geoblocking feature in my router for Russia, after i did that i could host MP again, really weird

Looks like it uses Photon for the backend and the geotagging is wrong for the IP? I disabled my Russia geoblock too and it went right through. Something must have changed recently though. I've had my geoblock on for years and never had an issue until this past week.

91.199.81.121 is the IP it sends a UDP datagram to if anyone cares.

It's *been* working fine, if somewhat slow on loading/connecting, until today's update

Now, three times in a row my friend has desynced either upon entering or leaving a scenario, forcing me to send a new invite
