How is there no save?
I get that the multiplayer might not want a save function.

But excluding that this is a single player RPG in 2021 with no manual save function, i've never seen that before. Why would the devs think missing one of the most basic and universal features is a good idea?

This there any work around?

Because the game is designed around dealing with the consequences of the choices you make.

It's usually possible to navigate to the save folder and make a copy.

That's true of all RPGs but all other RPGs have a manual save function.

Any chance you know the save file location / name please?

Outside of battle you can manually save by changing a character skin.

This is a roguelike game in this regard, only automatic saves which are done every round..

You can always restart a round if you did a mistake pressing Esc and Restart round

I meant on the world map. the first encounter i got cursed my team which made the first campaign fight impossible for me

The next time you try the effects might be different so you can choose to forfeit or see how far you can get with current effects while gaining exp and gold?

I guess I don't understand what your issue is.

Lose the scenario and start it again. You even get to keep all loot.
Also this is how boardgame works and this is 100% adaptation.

This. Sucks when it happens, but when you replay the mission, you won't still have those curses in your deck. If you're really frustrated, you can always "blitz" a scenario and just crank all your burn cards for XP and wipe quickly, then restart and hope things go better without all those curses.

What is the point of the curses if people just throw the mission away and do it again?

One curse does not render a scenario impossible.
