House rules, what would you use? Or maybe rules you would change in game

Saw a vid on this game,(he was playing board game not digital) but mentioned house rules him and his buds played with make the game a bit more for there tastes.

I can not remember all the rules he had in place, but they mostly did not like the grind for doing same mission over and over, something about a puzzle they were working on only to find it really no answer, kind of went to expansion, Also they ran out of quests, did not know they beat the game, and were curious if they did something stupid and missed it.

Did turn out they won, but did not notice. That may be on them though. Anyways

Rules I would change, do to not having to do same mission over and over.

Before I start, I have only owned this game 3 days, and my hours played is more then likely half from alt tabbing looking up rules and vids. So I am a newb.

1. if a guy attacks with a card that is about be burned, and picks and x0 out of attack deck that card is not burned but put into discard pile.

Now this does not affect buffs or aoe cards, only single attacks where you go all in and poop the bed.

Reason being even in gm, you new it was over when you hit a x0, on big guy, after burning 2 cards to kill him. You know you lost mission, unless you super lucky.

2. burned cards always have a chance of coming back, slim but a chance, be it roll a dice having to hit a nat 20, or in this game as it is a card game, draw a card value.

Number 2 was but in from my gym days in high school playing dodge ball, even if a team was down. Rule was if guy could sink a basket with dodge ball on other side of court,l whole team comes back, so even if its 5 on 1, you hit that basket bam 15 on 5 in a sec,
All of a sudden game has changed, does not team will win, but there is at least hope, instead of just take exp, gold, do it over.

Not sure of 3 or more yet still new to game, have to play game is the way it is, but am wondering about house rules,and what other people use because I am thinking of buying this, but I do think the grind on normal needs to go.

The official fix to how advantage works with rolling modifiers. That's the only one needed.
