Known bug & workaround - Corrupted saves and other saves issues
Salutations fellow mercenaries,

We are well aware that many of you encounter issues regarding their save files and care to let you know the team is currently working on it to find and implement a fix.
This is a known issue caused by the ever and greatly changing state of Gloomhaven, where if you do not play the game for a few patches, your save files can fall behind the game data and become corrupted.

In the meantime, here are 2 potential workarounds to help you deal with this issue.

The first one:
  • Go to C:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\FlamingFowlStudios\Gloomhaven\GloomSaves\Guildmaster\Guildmaster_PartyName
    => /!\ AppData being a hidden folder, make sure to reveal it /!\
  • This is the file that is loaded: {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}
  • You want to replace that file with a checkpoint from the Checkpoints/ScenarioCheckpoints folder
  • Make sure you rename the checkpoint to be the exact same as the original file
    => Scenario checkpoints are back-up saves of your guildmaster adventure that are created after finishing a mission

If this doesn't work, there is another workaround that usually works but will delete all of your save files:
  • Remove all data from the following folder to be able to launch the game again without issue: C:\Users\You\AppData\LocalLow\FlamingFowlStudios\Gloomhaven
    => /!\ AppData being a hidden folder, make sure to reveal it /!\
  • Please be sure to disable cloud saves before booting the game after deleting your save files, as this may restore the corrupt save files again.
  • Do note that this will cause you to lose all save data you had previously accumulated, but please note that there is no way for us to recover what has been lost already.

If you have very low fps, Add this to commandline in steam : -force-d3d12

It worked for me and a couple of people and saved my life.

I encountered three different maps with bugs. One map has walls that are supposed to crumble on turn 4, 6, and 9 to reveal more enemies. The walls never crumbled so the map was unbeatable. The next mission had a boss named The Colorless and two treasures that are supposed to hit the boss for 8 damage. The treasures said to stand adjacent to the boss and use them at the end of your turn. The treasures were greyed out and unclickable, so the boss could not be injured. The third map had breakable walls with 6 hp. When we used AOE, only one door would be hurt and the rest of the damage for the turn would be cancelled. This was especially bad because it cancelled an 8 damage hit on an elite enemy.

When a mercenary has flying, becouse he wares 'Boots of Levitation', he is not able to use spell 'disarm trap' at a trap he hovers over.
Example: Scoundrel wares Boots of Levitation. He flies over a trap. When using card 'Thief's Knack', Scoundrel can't disarm the trap he hovers over.

This is not a bug. The card specifies an adjacent trap, and you are not adjacent to the hex you are on (similar to how you are not your own ally).
I have a few of bugs that I have noticed

-Heater shield is not blocking the damage but its geting exausted anyways
-Sometimes my attack modifier do not show the remaining modifiers, it shows all as if I did not do any attacks
-Medical pack usually does not heal the mercenary
-Sawbones healing abilities dont always heals, particularly on allies
- I took a treasure chest with 15 gold which I did not receive by the end of the mission
-After taking a x0 attack modifier, not always it stays unavailable for a future attack

My friends and I encountered a bug in the Ancient Cistern final room. Whenever we try to attack any of the mobs in the room, it immediately pops up an error message and disconnects us from the game. Anyone knows how to by pass that? Sent a couple of error reports today.
My card select screen (begin of combat) is not showing pictures of my team just that game. What the deal, don't to give up my blessing for that encounter.
Dear all, not sure if this is a bug or if I did something wrong. In scenario 57, investigation, a personal quest, something is supposed to happen with a certain encountered monster is killed. That specific thing did not happen when I played the scenario. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?
This is a pretty specific issue, but I had the two minis character use their loot 1 action in shrine of the depths and it did not work. I was one tile over from the chest, which shouldn't matter but might? Unfortunately the way things worked in the scenario, I was unable to move onto the chest and the character retired after the scenario anyway, but it is annoying that I will have to redo a scenario I should have beaten.

Hello there, Scenario 79, game always crashes after the boss takes an action Special 1 (playing with 2minis and circles).
upd. managed to pass the level, rng god was on my side with boss abilites.

Hail is broken for me in the escort scenario. She never moved an inch until round 6 and only after I disarmed one of the traps guarding the final doorway. She just stood there and stood there and stood there at the very start making it impossible to finish the mission because when she FINALLY started to move baddies would spawn in her way.

Please look into this.
I see nowhere to easily report bugs. I recently came back to the digital version and 50%+ of the time I click an item and then click my character to activate it, it gets stuck. No way to undo or go back unless I restart the round.
Hi, its impossible to place the beast of the beastmaster in the scenario: "the the last fight of the rebels" (in the swamp). The game won't start. Thanks for this amazing game!
Quest "Burning mountain" bug: if i do "sacrifice artifact" ending, i get -2 prosperity, -1 reputation. Should get +1 reputation instead.
Quest "Ancient Cistern" bug: can't forgo bottom action if moved to pump with my top action (example - Scoundrel Duelist advance)
Town encounter bug: If I killed a drake boss, I should not receive an event (Tell the guard that I decided not to kill the drake or lie)
