Report a translation problem
I could play on a laptop using the cloud save but couldn't get past the loading screen (with the scrolling screen tips) on my other computer.
I ended up uninstalling then deleting the entire Gloomhaven settings folder (that isn't removed when you uninstall) Users/username/Appdata/LocalLow/FlamingFowlStudios/Gloomhaven and then reinstalling.
I then loaded from the Cloud (so if you don't have the save on the Cloud make sure you back it up) and everything is back to normal.

I did this too. No luck. thanks for the assist though.
Please read these instructions for submitting a bug report:
1. Take a screenshot - make sure to include the build number
2. Exit to the main menu or quit the game at the time of the bug before the round ends.
3. Grab save files & log files
4. Open Trello and write a bug report
Saves are located:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\FlamingFowlStudios\Gloomhaven\GloomSaves\Guildmaster\Guildmaster_PartyName
Zip this entire folder if possible.
Logs need to be copied before the next time you run the game but preferably at the time of bug. They are found at:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\FlamingFowlStudios\Gloomhaven\
Please include all the .log files found here. There are 4 files.
If on multiplayer, add your bug report to the new issues multiplayer column. Otherwise, add to new issues.

For those who are having similar issues... let me copy the workaround you only have to do once.

Have you tried waiting? It takes a long time to start first time, and crashes if you touch anything. Don't touch anything.
