Spellweaver : Reviving Ether not working ?
So, upon using this card absolutely nothing was returned from the burned pile and the spellweaver exhausted because of this. Am I missing something about how this card should be used ? I searched and can't find much about this.

The burned card pile or the used card pile? Other than that, I have no other suggestions.

Are you sure you had burned cards? It works perfectly for me every time.

Reviving Ether only recovers BURNED cards, not discarded cards. You have to burn all of your cards minus one other for your RE turn via either using their burn action or rests, then use RE to recover all burnt cards.

Works perfectly fine for me... at least when I don't forget to use it on my spellweaver's last turn to exhaustion.

Ok, It was my friend playing the Spellweaver and yes it was burned cards not discarded. He did use it few turns before he was out of cards though... would that make any difference?
Thanks for the comments I appreciate it

You can use RE at any time. Though the fewer burnt cards you have, the fewer cards you recover and you also pass on the extra turns you could have gained from recovering more burnt cards.

Planning so you use RE on your last turn before exhaustion is ideal for maximum recovery, though there is always the possibility of using it sooner for strategic reasons or throwing everything including the kitchen sink at remaining mobs before failing a mission for extra XP.

Waiting until the very last moment to play RE can be slightly risky though. If you unexpectedly take some hits that drop you to zero hitpoints, you might not survive to play the card!

Yea, I'm personally enjoying the risk and limited card selection. I haven't had any issues using the card myself now over several hours of playtime. I can see now that what we encountered before was a bug.

I understand what you mean ;)

When you use RE the burnt cards ARE NOT instantly returned to your hand until the END of that round. So it looks like it has done nothing, but they will appear when everyone has finished that round.

It returns burned cards..Not discarded cards...Those are returned by resting with a burn of a card. With the the Spellweaver its best to burn all your burn cards early and then use that card to get them back. By far the most important card for her. It allows her to use all her powerful burn cards one time early instead of having to save them till the end like all the other classes. SO all her burns are 2 use cards. IT also gives her more turns before being exhausted.

And don't choose Redraw on a short rest if Reviving Ether could get lost...

^ You'll (usually) only make this mistake once.

Personally, Reviving Aether and Fire Orbs are the only burn cards I ever use on the spellweaver. IMO, this class starts the game with almost all of its best cards, you go through 7 levels of mostly garbage and then you get Inferno-- and that's the spellweaver in a nutshell. 😏

I am trying to do the tutorial with the spellweaver and this card but when I short rest and try to burn it I still just get two cards and none of the others in the burn pile so lose the match

Been a while since I did the tutorial, but you don't want to burn Reviving Ether via short rest. It will do nothing. You need to use it as a normal card.

If it comes up as the card you will lose in a short rest, then choose Redraw to get any other card.
