character creation?

Hello. i am very interested in this game and i wanted to ask if there is a character creation or characters are predeterminated?

The classes are pre-made but you make upgrade decisions as you gain experience with the character that let you have some control over the ultimate build. You also get to choose how to equip your character and find new gear / items as you proceed through the game. The reason for set classes is that GH is a board game conversion and the character classes are choices you get in the board game. You can find a load of articles, reviews, guides, etc. that deal with GH as it's an incredibly popular board game. Hope that all helps and that you have fun if you join the community.

Also, on each mission, you chose your party from among the different classes (subject to some missions requiring you bring certain classes). Your party size is 1 to 4 and there are more classes than that (I think 8 now, with more to come). So, while you can't "roll" your own characters, with the options in which characters you take on each mission and how you develop them (as Vastator mentioned above), the predetermined nature of the classes doesn't horribly restrict you.

However, the game is definitely a tactical combat game with (currently) some very light story elements and character development rather than, say, a story-based RPG.

And just to add to Teuchy's comments, it is true there is only a light story mode at the moment called the Guildmaster mode. However, there will be a very deep campaign mode once the final game is released (and perhaps expansions that follow additions to the board game). In fact, the sequel recently finished its Kickstarter campaign and became the biggest board game Kickstarter ever, raising approximately $13 million. The sequel is called Frosthaven.
