Hope this helps y'all.
Endless laoding screen.
Good luck posting in a year old thread though.
(or maybe tab out next time) lol ;)
A dev had responded, so I was hoping for a response. You didn't read any of the comments. They described exactly the same issue. Please don't respond, blocked.
Totally agree. Today is 041022, I just got the game and the same thing happens to me. I have win10pro, 16gbram, nvidia 1070 and in FullHD it runs EVERYTHING. It's been 1 year and we are still at the same problem! "We have to wait 5 to 20+ minutes WITHOUT TOUCHING ANYTHING!" Breathe, can we? Are you kidding me?
Are you on Epic? There's an Epic authentication problem for many people. Not the same thing at all; that's been fixed.
I'm trying to play Gloomhaven on Epic for the first time, and it does not load. What should I do?
The game will be trying to authenticate with Epic.
First, just quit and try again. Sometimes it just works the second time.
Otherwise, the game will require authenticating via a browser.
For Steam Deck, it is necessary to be in desktop mode.
See if there's a browser window hidden by the game, and switch to that and log in.
If there's no browser:
Make sure your computer has a default browser assigned.
Some people have had success by launching a browser manually while the game is loading, going to the Epic store, and logging in.
Otherwise you might need to go to
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
and update (the x64 version)
That's right, I'm on Epic and the problem is different.
I thank you, unfortunately I found the solution that you also suggested after starting the game by authorizing the use of my data.
I wrote to Epic to ask why I had been forced to do this, they replied that it was not up to them but to FlamingFowlStudios.
I wrote to FlamingFowlStudios and am waiting for their reply.
In the meantime I will try uninstalling and reinstalling, this time trying VCredist64.
Edit: Uninstalled and reinstalled, everything started without asking me for access to my data. Evidently the authorization was left in the developers' server. I will wait for them to reply.
