Of which I have no problem with having to pay, as long as only the host needs it for all who join a multiplayer session to play it.
As an expansion for Gloomhaven Digital it suffers from a new class at odds with the parts of Gloomhaven that have been automated. Then there's the tedium of waiting while the Diviner re-orders everyone's AttMod deck. And there's many scenarios that have a set of special rules that make them almost entirely different to the base game.
And $9.99? I doubt it. As the Jaws expansion is going to need everyone to buy it, it's rather unlikely that FC would only be needed by the host.
Incidentally, you will be able to enhance your Jaws characters, and you'll also have all Gloomhaven's equipment available. It's just going to be a side branch of your exisiting campaign.
And Forgotten circle is just quite hard to set up in real life and would benefit from having computer version because of that.
So yeah... somewhat strange choice...
