Missing Character Ability Cards
I'm currently playing a team with the Spellweaver and the Cragheart. I'm at level 4 with both characters and there are some cards missing from the board game. I was looking for a couple in particular and figured I was getting unlucky in the draw and then I saw somewhere upon level-up you can hit escape and get a new set of cards to choose from and by repeating this over and over can see all the available cards. Knowing this finally allowed me to figure out that there were some cards missing. Here's what I've found through level 4:

Spellweaver - Spirit of Doom Level 4

I'm not a fan of this card but it should be included. This is the only Spellweaver card that is missing.

Cragheart - Nature's lift Level X

Not a crucial card but somebody might like it

Craheart - Heaving Swing Level X

This is a decent card and should be in the game.

Cragheart - Clear the Way Level 3

This is a great card. My guess is it is not friendly to easily coding it.

Cragheart - Rock Slide Level 4

Another great card! Cragheart is significanly more dull without the ability to shape the playing field!.

I sincerely hope all of the above cards are simply delayed in implementation and not omitted. If any Scoundrel or Brute players can post missing cards, it would be a big help to all.

There was a dev response in another thread talking about this. They assured that the other cards are coming, but they weren't quite able to get all the cards working properly for this first month. This is great though. Thanks for the list. I wasn't sure what to expect when leveling up and one of my characters is the Cragheart.

Thanks Rick! I figured that might be the case but wasn't sure. If nothing else, knowing what is not available might help players plan for their character's short term development.

One disadvantage a digital-only player has for choosing powers is that all future powers (at present) are not shown anywhere. They might skip a card that consumes a certain element (because they have no way of infusing it) at level 2 only to find out there's a level 3 card that will fill that void. Maybe they can add a complete card list for unlocked characters in the how to play section.

You can see what cards are presumably in the game by viewing the files in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gloomhaven\Rulebase\AbilityCardDefinitions. There are only 18-20 cards defined per class. It should be (Hand Size + 3 + 2*8), or 27-31 each.

Awesome, this is just what I was looking for. That formula is a little off though. 10 should be 3 representing the X cards. So Hand Size + 3 + 2*8.

D'oh, fixed the formula, it was right at one point! People playing regularly should also probably periodically backup their save files, since there are apparently some rare bugs that can completely lock you out of continuing. The save files is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\FlamingFowlStudios\Gloomhaven\GloomSavesOpenBeta\Core.dat if you've opten into beta, or just in GloomSaves folder otherwise. For Win10, at least. I'm assuming you can copy and replace that file on its own as needed, since that's how I ported my progress to OpenBeta in the first place.
