POISON – If a figure is poisoned, all enemies add +1 Attack to all of their attacks targeting the
figure. If a Heal ability is used on a poisoned figure, the POISON token is removed, and the Heal
has no other effect.
WOUND – If a figure is wounded, it suffers one point of damage at the start of each of its turns. If
a Heal ability is used on a wounded figure, the WOUND token is removed and the Heal continues normally. If a figure is both poisoned and wounded, a Heal ability would remove both conditions but have no other effect.
'...a Heal ability would remove wound/poison/both conditions but have NO other effect'
i.e. it should remove negative statuses and 0 hit points should be recovered.
The skeleton in question lost the wounded status and recovered 2 hit points.
I underlined the important part of the rules text. You said the skeleton was wounded. You did not mention anything about it being poisoned as well. The part of the rules you ”highlighted” only applies if a figure is BOTH poisoned and wounded at the same time. From what I can read the skeleton was only wounded and then it should heal as normal as well as having its wound condition removed.
Edit: The main point is that it's only a poison condition that hinders a figure from recovering hit points when healed.

Don't feel bad, we've been playing the board game for over a year and have found a couple things we've been doing wrong that whole time that came up in reporting "bugs" in this version. Crazy, huh?
I normally play 2p - but as a one-off we ran a guest session with our friends... it was interesting seeing what rules we each had wrong!
We'd totally missed the "short rest - suffer a hit point to re-draw the card" - but they'd been getting something around status timings/element generation that had been making it much easier for them!
