Oh and if this will have annoying forced "hints" that show up if you take 2 seconds more to do something, ruining any fun, or not.
Hints were a toggleable option in most Bejeweled games. It will be the same for Bejeweled 4.
Just to be clear, talking about this issue, where the game gives you tips every few seconds.
There is no way to turn that off in Bejeweled 3.
1. Wouldn't making a game with the name "Bejeweled" get you in legal trouble?
2. What is the price going to be?
3. Is the game going to be moddable?
1. Well, usually yes. Typically, when someone tries doing something like this, they get struck down. EA hasn't done that to this project, at least not yet. My guess is that they're waiting to see what I have planned and what will be featured.
2. For a similar reason as your above question, I can't actually confirm a price, but if I were to give an estimation, based on what's planned and what features the game will have, it would probably be worthy of about $10. Then again, I could be completely wrong. It IS an estimation.
3. The plan is for the game to support mods. This has been a mandatory feature ever since I first announced the game.
2) Is there going to be an art gallery? On my knowledge, the only gallery I know of exists in the PS2 port of PopCap Classics Vol 1(2?). None of the other versions of any game that I know of has one. I know that it shouldn't be the main priority, but I love looking at them.
3) I know that you suggest the Discord but I do not want to use it. May I have the email? I understand if you decline.
1. Bejeweled 4 will revive the Sci-Fi aspect of the franchise, or at the very least attempt to. I always thought that Sci-Fi suited Bejeweled the best.
2. There will be a gallery in the form of a menu you unlock when fully completing Discovery Mode. In-case you might ask, Discovery is the Challenge/Quest mode of the game.
3. My email is a special case, as I'm not sure how Steam handles emails being posted in Discussion pages. I suggest hitting me up on Twitter (I use the same username; it should be listed in the Links section of my bio) as I have DMs open to anyone there.
Bejeweled 4 will have a badge-like system in the forms of Achievements. A menu will also hold the game's achievements, like how Bejeweled 3/Blitz did.
I did, at some point, plan to do Badges. I can't remember why I scrapped it, though.
i would also like to see matching 7+ gems in a row make even better gems than the supernova gem, i feel like it makes sense
Discovery Mode will be the game's Challenge Mode. There will also be a lot of Objectives in Discovery Mode that will feature Matchless Swaps.
I can confirm that matching 7+ gems makes a gem better than Supernova, but that's something you'll have to find out about yourself! ;)
I legally cannot answer this question. To both keep this discussion open and rated E.
