Also, would you happen to know if Skaven is doing the music again like he did with Bejeweld 2 and 3?
No release date has been currently announced yet. However, if development goes well, the game could be released by June of next year.
We're currently in the process of inviting him, and according to Peter himself, he would gladly be open to composing a Bejeweled 4 soundtrack, so it's very likely that Skaven would make a return.
Fan Service. Make a game not for the money, but for the fans and player base.
Is that even a business model? I have not a clue, but if it works, it works.
There's potential for Steam Workshop support.
Mod support might also be on the table. (Which may also be apart of Steam Workshop)
The game's theme will be Sci-Fi.
Fan made...ish. Currently in the process of making Bejeweled 4 truly official for the past year via requesting the required rights from EA directly. It started taking too long, so decided to ask them on Twitter instead.
It's also a situation similar to Sonic Mania, where it's a game made by fans, for the fans.
I've previously answered this question.
1. How many people are working on this project as of now?
2. Will the music be in a tracker module file format?
(e.g Bejeweled 2 Soundtrack was saved as a compressed MO3 tracker module file)
3. Do you have any plans for localization? (Translations)
Currently, 1. Though, that's about to change in the coming weeks.
The game will use a tracker file for it's music.
Localization is planned.
Will this game be made for desktop, will it be a web game, or both?
I found this quote interesting. Do you plan on accepting volunteers/playtesters? If so, how would you be able to sign up?
