Windows 10 seems to be a factor with many games.
DesertAnubis, I'll check and test the Registry files and see if there is something there that is causing this. If I can find it (and if it's there) I'll let everyone know. I've tinkered with such settings that way before and have NEVER encountered any troubles, because I do not change anything else.
O.K, Anubis, try this: Bejeweled 3 is an unusual Steam Bejeweled game because it can also act as a standalone- you do NOT need the Steam app to play it.
Copy the Bejeweled game folder, paste the copy anywhere else away from Steam. Open it, click on the EXE file, play it for a bit, close it down, and play again- if the game was saved the problem is with the Steam app somehow; if you have the same problem then it is your computer.
I do not think those files do that, although you could try making steam_api.dll into steam_api.dllOLD- that makes it "invisible" to the computer. I have copied Bejeweled 3 from the Steam folder to my 2001 Sony VAIO- which does NOT have Steam installed- and the game runs just fine. I altered nothing.
