Full screen & 3D acceleration.

Uh, full screenn doesn't seem to be working...nor does the 3d acceleration. I thought I'd be able to enjoy this game again, on my brand new gaming laptop, get the animated background again and the vortex level transitions but it won't even full screen or will the 3D acceleration turn on. Unless I hear that they've fixed these issues, I'm not reinstalling this game.

There's a community made patch, floating around the net and is present on github, if I remeber right. Can't remember the url though. But it should be easy to find googling Bejeweled 3 3d patch. I installed it on my machine and it's working great.

the origin version works fine without the patch on modern systems

the patch (for me) doesnt work on the steam version and i did not need to use it for origins version

When you say the 'origin' version, do you mean the CD? Because I think I have that somewhere in my house but my new laptop doesn't have a disc drive. I could probably use a plug-in disc drive in that case.

This is a bit late but I believe Ponlets is talking about EA's Origin game service - their competitor to Steam or Uplay.

that worked fine for me. i can enter fullscreen now!
make sure you followed all steps (editing 'compat.cfg' on notepad, changing values inside registry, replace the game icon for the patched one // everything at local files of the game, obviously //, just using the downloaded patch folders as auxiliar). you can also see another link on github page which i sended, where you can download another utilities. try everything you can, and u'll solve it as i solved myself! =)

For me just doing windows 7 compatibility mode fixed the 3D acceleration and resolution issue for me.
