Stuck on "READY PLAYER ONE" Screen.

So I used to play this game when it was only on the Vive port. Worked great. Then I started having issues and decided to try the Steam version. Same issues. Basically, it starts to load the game and then freezes on the "READY PLAYER ONE" screen. I hear the music at first and then it cuts out and nothing happens. I know my system can handle the game, as I have played a few hours worth on vive port.

I just got the game via Steam on a Vive. First login failed because of my antivirus firewall.
I then:
- Closed the game
- Permitted it on firewall
- Restarted the game
- I was shown the "press button"
- Got into the room
- Put on the headset
- Was shown the menu
- Selected the map... and the game crashed.

From this point forward, I tried to close and reopen the game 4 times, but was never presented with another "press button" again from the loading screen... I haven't tried to reboot the PC yet.

I use the HTC Vive and ran into the stalemate issue on the "Ready Player One" screen as well. So far, I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. The third time has been the charm so far. I don't seem to be having issues like I was and everything flows as it should. *Crossing fingers and knocking on wood*

Is there any updates on this issue? I installed it run it onces no issue. The next day it is stuck on the "Ready Player One" screen and don't see the press any key message.
Is there anything that can be done to "fix" the issue?

I echo what r2hubert said. I had the same problem today. I couldn't get the game to go past the logo screen. No error listed for the game and steam vr was fine.

Disable the Firewall and the game is working!!!

Has anyone figures out a fix for RISE OF THE GUNTERS? I've uninstalled and re-installed multiple times? Just as I go into the actual game, I get a black screen. I can shot my weapons, but can't get into the actual game. I've played this consistently since last December, but the game stopped working bout 6 weeks ago. I've disabled all firewalls, cleared download cache. Is anyone actually playing this game anymore? It was really my favorite game :<

moi pareille tous les jeux fonctionne avec mon htc vive pro a part rise of the gunters ,quelqu'un a une solution ? le jeu fonctionnait très bien avant la mise a jour chez moi !
