Can faction leaders marry ?

I'm new to the game and I tried to marry my faction leader to another factions leader but I couldnt get it to work. Can you even do it?

In theory, you can through the diplomatic menu. You can set it up if you and the other faction leader are not married and in the same cultural group (Bandits, Han, Turbans, Nanman).

In practice, you'll probably never use it since the only female faction leaders that matter are Zheng Jiang and Zhurong, who are outside of the Han culture.

It might help to specify who you're playing as and who you're trying to marry.

No, faction leaders don't abandon their own faction, makes no sense.

You can't marry Lady Bian becaue she's already Cao Cao's wife. You can marry faction leader with anyone as long as they don't have another wife/husband. You can marry 2 factions leaders and then the other leader will join your faction with his/her whole faction as well (or your faction his but then you lost campaign). It's very rare, beacause AI always marry his leader fast.
The easisest way to find Liu Bei a wife from another faction is to check every turn the quick diplomacy to recive marrige.

Wrong if you capture Lady Bian you can force her to divorce for 1000 then marry for 2000.

OP asked if he can marry Lady Bian from another faction. If you capture Lady Bian she will not be in another faction anymore, therefore OP won't marry from dimplacy screen.
