At one point all i needed to complete the contract was to win a single battle against their standing army.
Ah ok, I did expect some nice reward for destroying the faction targeted by the contract, but guess I was wrong. A little disappointing in my opinion. I would suggest to trigger some kind of reward in case of the target faction being destroyed, especially since I would probably have recieved some reward over the remaining turns if I didn't follow through on completing the contract in the best possible way.
I appreciate your answer, always good to see developers in the forums.
"It's generally considered that the mercenary contract is paid for up front during the diplomacy negotiations."
