Military supplies - too much?
I see a lot of traits and skills and all about supplies. Also historically, armies marched on their stomach and logistics/supplies were often more important than army size. Several times in history, generals had to retreat because their supplies were extended or armies collapsed.
As for the commandery reserves, campaigns ended before harvest so that the men could go back to the fields and fill the granaries again for the next "campaign season" or offensive.

To get to the point: For all the traits, skills and buildings about "Reserves" in the commanderies and supplies, I may have hard issues with supplies with armies once or twice in a 180 turns campaign and in commanderies a slight hit because of low reserves a few times here and there, none of which was ever a problem.

Is that everyone's experience?

Yes, its practically impossible to run out of supplies as long as you have a positive food balance, you don't campaign far away from your borders, and you have a strategist in every army.

I guess at some point during testing, CA thought it would be too tedious to mess with supplies so they made it practically a non-factor.

Well, to be honest, I can understand that approach from CA. Is there a mod that makes supplies more important?
