Shogun 3 man....I really hope they are cooking that up especially given what modders have done to 3K. Shogun 2 completely sht all over the history of the time period and I would like to see a Shogun more along the lines of 3K....with the faction leaders being "legendary lords" and not just a generic lord's bodyguard but do away with the immortality of WH and stick to them being able to die of old age or be killed in battle. Shogun 2 always ended up being whoever you played as versus some generic made up no name clan that amasses 15 settlements 10 turns in because the "major" clan's AI was too dumb to overcome its' starting challenge and gets wiped out. Oh no but if the player takes 5 settlements REALM DIVIDE. Now that I think about it I hated vanilla SG2. I did like fots though....
I get why S2 was like that - TW games back then were pretty much just about the sandbox RTS warfare strategy games, but I think for us with an understanding and appreciation of the real history underlying the game's subject matter, we would love to see more historical characters and events being portrayed while retaining the sandbox strategy style. TW:3K really brought these perspectives to the forefront because there is a widely recognized narrative, and I hope this is something CA takes into account when developing more TW games in the future, such as a potential S3 (truly, I think it's only a matter of time but who's to say for sure).
