Does the Sun Jian Death unlock anything worthfull?

I'm playing Sun jian for the first time. I followed the story and went to war against Liu Bio. I beat Liu Bio army. There's an event right after when you can choose if Sun Jian die or not.

Does his death provide you anything useful? (other event, item, character etc...)

no you just lose one of your most important dude so I wouldn't recommend it.

honestly it should result in sun quan being sent to Liu Biao and Sun Ce becoming the leader as a vassal of Yuan Shu.

He's just going to die, which is stupid since technically the game makes you follow your own path, hence you don't have to get your sun jian turned into an arrow-hedgehog as it was in the real story.
