Family tree broken?

Hi everyone.

I'm currently playing with Dong Zhuo.
During the very first turn of the campaign, I chose my wife as a heir as Zhuo's brother has public order penalty and Zhuo's wife provides a bonus.

Several years fter, Dong Zhuo died, and here is my problem:
- Zhuo and his wife had 4 kids, the oldest being a girl married to Ma Chao, not counting Lu Bu
- Lu Bu is married to Diaochan and Dong Ming has married Sun Ren only to divorce on the same turn, so I have a good wife to give to my oldest Dong Zhuo's son when he become 18 (he's 17 now)
- Both Lu Bu and Ma Chao got plenty of kids so my family tree looked awesome, being full of legendary guys married to my own kids

BUT when Dong Zhuo passed away and his wife became empress, EVERYONE on the tree vanished, but the empress and it's 3 underage sons.
Lu Bu is not there anymore ( I know Dong Zhuo was his foster father, but he was still the son of Dong Zhuo and his wife ), and even more weird, Dong Zhuo and his wife oldest kid, the girl married to Ma Chao, is not on the tree anymore.
Even Dong Ming got removed and the two Dong's father as well.

So is it normal than foster sons and daughters, married daughter having a different family name, and brother-in-law are removed from the tree?
Is there no way to get back to the full one?
The family was one of my favorite aspect of my campaign, especially when you see how painful it is to play in VH/Legendary with Dong...

Hmmm didn't work that way for me when I played Dong Zhuo. He had a younger daughter who I made heir early on. Dong Min got mad and left the faction, but everybody else stayed. After Dong Zhuo died, everyone else was still there: Dong Zhuo's wife, all his other kids aside from Min (he had like 5 in my game), Lu Bu and Diao Chan, who were married (although Lu Bu was angry for some reason and I had to make him my heir to keep him from resigning). I even killed Dong Min when he was fighting for Liu Bei later, no one cared.

Well after the empress died, her daughter became empress, the three got back to normal. Seems like family in law, step parents and husband's adopted kids are not in the characters family tree.

Thats not a bug since since she became the faction Leader it became her Dynasty but since one of Dong Zhou kids became faction leader after it switch back to his Dynasty.

None of the empress kids left the faction. Ma Chao joined us and Ma Teng became our vassal, hence improving our relationship. Dong Zhuo is hard enough to play to send your kids everywhere lol.
