Lu Bu is the best faction leader
If you play him right he can wipe out an entire army without issue. Playing him right now and he is annihilating Cao Cao armies just by himself, don't even need a army since this Lu Bu is so op, lol.

Its a unique faction with many downsides but also many upsides.

I just unlocked more abilities for Lu Bu, the guy is now near unstoppable. I am literally slaughtering armies of thousands of men with this guy. Looks like China belongs to Lu Bu.

He's been my favorite faction leader.

I heard Lu Bu was referred to as the Chinese Achilles, yet even he had his vulnerable heel, too.

Are you playing on easy? cause usually he runs out of health eventually.

No, I always let him heal after each turn and then I have him fight again. Also i'm playing on the hardest difficulty so it is quite hard to pick off one unit at time with Lu Bu until I win.

Well he always runs out of health when I try it unless its some small little garrion or something, adn thne he is massively damaged it for some turn when he needs ot be conquering.
XD

You just gotta keep him away from archers and have him around around constantly until one unit of the enemy is far enough from the rest to be picked off. Keep doing the same painful process until he wins.

Ah, I see, divide and conquer.
yeah mass archers seem to e one of the biggest troubles

The greatest strength of Lu Bu as a faction leader come from the ability he gain after he defeat generals on his hit list, most notable is

-- He Yi, granted him unlimited heal on battle field
-- Zhang Fei , granted him the shout that give -100 morale hit

With these in mind, the battle become a "rout" game. As long as there aren't any "unbreakable" unit or generals in the enemy troops, all you need to do is "herd" them by running around so their all clump up, and Lu Bu "shout". Instant rout the whole army. With the "magical" 2-defeat-wipe mechanism, all you need to do is attack-rout-attack again-rout again, then the whole enemy stack just disappear on the map.

The more generals on his hit-list he's able to defeat, he stronger he get. He will become faster, more health and hit harder. You can also bring a few units of camp crusher just in case there are some spear units left that Lu Bu miss. Or even some cavalry for unbreakable generals. Does not need a full stack, 3-4 units of camp crushers, 2-3 units of spear cavalry are enough.

I had a stroke reading that

1.Zhang fei's roar ability
2.He Yi's healing ability
3.Zhao Yun's fattigue immunity

literally makes Lu Bu a one man army, at the most i keep 4 to 6 retinues and that is late mid game, just for the delegate values when i dont want to fight a battle thats pointless.
